    Wet cleaning to remove field soil and foreign matter before splitting.

  2. Step 02
    Longitudinal splitting

    Rhizomes split lengthwise to accelerate drying and preserve oil content.

  3. Step 03
    Sun drying

    7–14 days under controlled sun exposure depending on weather and moisture load.

  4. Step 04
    Mechanical drying

    Finish-dry to 10–12% moisture in 4–5 hours for consistent batches year-round.

  5. Step 05
    Grading & sorting

    Color, size and defect grading against ESA reference standards.
